Clip ‘n Climb Reading officially opened its doors on Saturday 30th July and welcomed hundreds of visitors in its opening weekend!
Located in Arborfield, the new indoor climbing centre attracted climbers of all ages with its variety of colourful climbing challenges, including a 7-metre Vertical Drop Slide, speed climbing wall with timer and the popular Stairway to Heaven.
To celebrate its opening weekend, the team handed out free ice creams to all the kids climbing. Also in attendance was the Clip ‘n Climb mascot, Pip the Possum, who entertained the children and posed for photos with families.
Clip ‘n Climb Reading Owner, Jon Robinson, said:
“The smiles on our climbers’ faces has been brilliant to see and people are particularly loving our Vertical Drop Slide!
Over the coming weeks we will be introducing toddler sessions, called Mini Mountaineers, for 2-4 year olds as well as calmer SEN sessions and we already have a number of brownies, guides, cubs and scouts booked in! We are looking forward to welcoming lots more climbers over the summer holidays. Climbing is a fantastic activity for people of all ages to challenge themselves whilst having loads of fun too!”
The all-weather climbing centre aims to provide a fun and safe space for the community to climb and unwind with the addition of its in-centre café. With a bright future in sight, the centre has plenty more to offer in the coming months including toddler sessions for ages 2-4, climbing sessions for SEN children and birthday party packages for ages 4 and up.
