Whether you’ve got a fearless eight-year-old who never stops moving, a toddler who wants to join in with everything, or a baby in tow while you’re trying to keep the older ones entertained — Clip ‘n Climb Colchester has been designed with your whole family in mind.

Here’s a look at everything on offer when we open at Northern Gateway Leisure Park Saturday 25^th April at 1pm.

For the Kids (Ages 4 and up) — The Climbing Arena

Our arena will feature 30 lines across 22 unique climbing challenges, each one designed to push, thrill and delight in equal measure. There’s a challenge for every ability so no two visits will ever feel the same.

Among the highlights are three brand-new walls:

• Crunched — a visually striking, colour-layered climb with soft PVC-covered foam holds, designed to challenge your balance and coordination. Climbers will need to master techniques like ‘bridging’ to reach the top.
• Artifact — boasting four climbing lines with different difficulties on each of the four sides, so you can race your friends and family to the top.
• Quadra — deceptively simple-looking, but don’t be fooled. The angled holds demand plenty of stamina and reaching the top is harder than it looks.

Beyond these newcomers, there’s not one but two Leap of Faiths, Jungle Vines, Cloud 9, Face 2 Face and many more to keep climbers of all abilities challenged. Every session will include a safety briefing before the climb, and our friendly team will be on hand throughout. Everyone will be fully harnessed, so it’s as safe as it is exciting!

For Younger Children (Ages 2–7) — Mini Mountaineers+

Little ones don’t have to miss out. Our Mini Mountaineers+ sessions are designed specifically for toddlers and younger children, running as a separate, smaller session so your little explorer gets the attention and space they need. These sessions will run as the first session of every day, peak and off-peak. Mini Mountaineer+ sessions also include access to Play Den.

For the Youngest Visitors — Play Den Soft Play

Our Play Den soft play will be a fantastic space for children up to 10 years old, and it’s perfect for babies and toddlers who aren’t quite ready to climb. During term-time weekdays, it’s unlimited play and 1 adult goes free, making it a brilliant option for a relaxed weekday visit with no clock-watching. Babies under 6 months get in free, and the soft play holds up to 100 children, so there’s plenty of room to run, explore and burn off energy. No pre-booking required, just turn up!

For the Whole Family — Climb ‘n Dine

Dinner sorted. Our Climb ‘n Dine sessions will run on weekday afternoons during term-time from 3:30pm, with a free 12” pizza included per climber. It’s the perfect post-school treat — climb first, eat after, everyone goes home happy!

Practical Bits

We’ll be based at the Northern Gateway Leisure Park, United Way, Colchester CO4. Sessions will run 7 days a week, and you can now book online at colchester.clipnclimb.co.uk.
