We open the doors at Clip ‘n Climb Uxbridge on Tuesday 27th October, just in time for October half term, and we know you’ll have questions. So here’s the lowdown on sessions, prices, parking and how to make the most of a day out at Pavilions Shopping Centre.
Where are you?
We’re at 20-22 & Atrium, Chequers Square, Pavilions Shopping Centre, Uxbridge, West London, UB8 1LN. We’re in the middle of the centre, so you’ll find us alongside the shops, not out on the edge of town. Uxbridge is also the end of the Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines, which makes us an easy trip from central London.
When do you open?
Our first day is Tuesday 27th October, and we’re open seven days a week throughout the school holidays, including the whole of half term. In term time, Clip ‘n Climb is open Wednesday to Sunday, with Play Den soft play also opening on Tuesdays.
Can I turn it into a full day out?
Yes, and that’s one of our favourite things about being inside a shopping centre. Do a bit of shopping, then break up the trip with a session of soft play for the little ones, or head into the arena and join in the climbing fun. When you need a breather, put your feet up at South Ridge Café. Everything is under one roof, so you can mix errands and adventure however suits you.
How do the climbing sessions work?
Each session lasts 90 minutes: a 30-minute safety briefing followed by 60 minutes of climbing. With 23 climbing lines and 16 challenges, including the Stairway to Heaven, there’s plenty to keep you busy. Fancy something extra? You can add a go on the Vertical Drop Slide for £3 when you book online, or £4 on the day.
How much does it cost?
Who can climb?
Anyone aged 4 and over, including grown-ups. Parents, grandparents and big kids are all welcome to harness up. For younger climbers we run Mini Mountaineers for 2-4 year olds and Mini Mountaineers+ for toddlers and younger siblings up to age 7. We also offer SEND sessions, home-school sessions and school group bookings, and exclusive hire is available on request.
What is Play Den?
Play Den is our four-level soft play for children aged 10 and under, with a dedicated toddler zone for the littlest explorers. It’s the perfect way to give younger siblings their own adventure while older ones take on the climbing walls. Soft play is £6 pp for children 18 months and under and £10.95 pp for children 18 months to 10 years. One accompanying adult goes free, with additional adults paying £2 pp.
What about food and drink?
Our South Ridge Café is on site, so you can refuel between sessions, treat the kids after a big climb, or just sit back and watch the action.
Where do I park?
The Grainges multi-storey and Cedars car parks, both part of the Pavilions Shopping Centre, are £4.50 for three hours, which comfortably covers a session plus a bite to eat. Discounted rates are available for local residents. The Chimes car park is also close by, at £3.65 for three hours, or £3 for five hours on Sundays.
Do you do parties?
We certainly do, for climbing and for soft play. Our climbing parties, as standard, include our delicious handmade pizza, garlic bread and vegetable sticks and a go on the Vertical Drop Slide for the birthday child. Our soft play parties also include as standard handmade pizza, garlic bread and vegetable sticks or these can be swapped out for a sandwich box. Climbing parties start from £23.95 per child and soft play parties from £18 per child. You bring the cake, we do the rest.
